One Street Over

Often, people in need are only one street over from where we live, work, and vacation. The One Street Over program helps us recognize that with a little planning and fundraising, we can make a big difference to people that are right around the corner.

TKO members have taken the One Street Over program all across the world, bringing donations of money, much needed supplies, and smiles to an orphanage in Kenya, a birthing center in Bali, a children’s home in the Bahamas, and much more.

Organizing a One Street Over fundraising event gives your family an opportunity to turn something like a summer vacation trip into something much more rewarding. Fundraising in your school, church, or community for money and donated goods to bring to the people in need also helps you share your mission with others and spread the word about being a Kindness Ambassador for TKO!

Event Goals
1. Bring awareness to people in need that are only one street over
2. Spend quality time with friends and family while pursuing a kindness mission
3. Raise money for the deserving people, organization, or institution of your choice
4. Bring a larger purpose to your vacation or family outing

Who Does This Program Benefit?
The One Street Over program directly impacts the people who are receiving the donations. All donated goods and funds go directly to the organization in need, where they can have the greatest beneficial impact.

These fundraising events aren’t just about the people you’re raising money for, though, they’re about you and your friends and family. Taking time out of your family vacation to visit a local nonprofit organization is a great way for your family to bond and to take advantage of a teachable moment of compassion that makes us all citizens of the world.
