Kindness Around The World: Cuba

July 8, 2010 posted in Around the World

On a recent trip to Cuba, Rabbi Daniel Price and family took 18 duffel bags of humanitarian aid to the region’s Jewish Communities. They visited congregations in Havana, Santiago de Cuba, Guantanamo, Camaguey, Sancti Spiritus, Cienfuegos, and Santa Clara. It was an amazing trip and the congregations were grateful for their visits.

Leaving from Miami, the Kindness Ambassadors brought toiletries and other items to benefit children such as Juan Carlo, Jose Manuel, and Anesto (pictured to the right). The group also brought along TKO t-shirts and gave them to a doctor friend in Santa Clara to give to his patients in need.

In Sancti Spiritus they handed out bags to the entire population, and they’re looking forward to continue the act of kindness next winter, when they return to Cuba in early 2011.
